In the next couple months I have two different speaking events, Dress for Success and Interview 101. I am not fabulous at speaking. Like I sweat much more than normal, I forget my lines and have trouble making eye contact.... Well instead of just hiding from it all I squeezed it in my 2013 goals. And well here I am accepting a couple speaking events. As nervous as I already am I am excited to talk to these young adults about how important dressing for success is. I learned early in my career that books are judged by their covers and we have to dress the part.

Thanks for this! I always have such trouble because I'm in such a casual location (Vermont? Fashion?) but in a professional position. These ideas are soooo helpful! xoxox
ReplyDeleteGlad this helped! It is sooo easy to fall into an outfit rut (especially in this cold weather) but dressing the part is your best way to feel put together/confident and also look it too. Hope your loving the new gig!
