To me V-Day is the day that the woman that taught me what love is, was born. The day that we celebrate her life and everything that she has done for us. This woman is the reflection of unconditional, selfless and honest love. So although I have a few love letters to write, this one is for her.
Mami,
You were the first one to show me love.
The first to kiss my bruises and mend my broken hearts.
You pushed me forward when the anxiety I had kept me still and always caught me when I fell. Actually you still do these things. You are my first love. The one that brought me into this world and taught me how to succeed in it.
You taught me love, forgiveness and nurture.
You taught me to fight hard for the things I wanted.
You taught me not to settle.
Not to settle for a job I didn't love, a person that wasn't honest or for just any man... And this my sweetest love is one of the most important things you've taught me. Because without knowing what love is, you would never be able to really find it.
I wish that this new year in your life continues to show you how much you are loved. That every day is filled with the sweet things that you deserve. You are the most amazing woman I know and because of you, I know that without love, life isn't worth it. I hope today you feel surrounded by it.
Happy Birthday mami. Thank you for everything that you have done for us but most of all thank you for being you and allowing me to be me.
I love you with all of my heart and soul and can't wait to celebrate with you.
Te quiero mamita.

Happy Valentines Day too all the loves in my life. Thank you for always loving me unconditionally. And for The Guy that left presents and the gorgeous Winston arrangement for me to wake up to, you are truly one of a kind. xo
And to all of you, I hope that you are surrounded with the feeling of love, not just today but everyday. Because we all deserve it. And remember that this day isn't just for lovers but for friends and family too.

This is so sweet. Hope you had a nice Valentine's Day! Thank you so much for your sweet comment on my blog! xo, Julie
