Remember that kitchen facelift that I have been wishing for... Well it is finally happening!!!! I swear I have been dreaming about painting these cabinets since day 1. {Sorry honey but they are horrid} We agreed to just facelift instead of the gutting, mainly because this isn't our forever home and we are planning {hoping} to find our new house in the next couple years.
So here is my inspiration for two tones cabinets.
Stage one happened this weekend. We scrubbed all the cabinets, the drawers and doors and then primed. My guy even got a coat of the white paint on the uppers and it seriously already looks a million times better.
I would love some open shelves {my guys mom got some that I am in love with} for bowls and containers like this but we can't spare the cabinet space so that will have to go on our future kitchen wish list.

Are you guys excited? LOL Well I am. I really really really am. And this will mark another thing off my 2013 goals. bam. Next steps will be replacing the counters, new backsplash, painting the island and new appliances. Pictures to come soon.
Well that was my weekend, exhausting but oh so great. What did you do?

ReplyDeleteI would have loooved the teal and white but because we'd like any potential buyers to like it we stuck to something closer to the 2nd and 3rd. Can't waittttt. but holy exhaustion.
